I was most of all incredibly impressed with his range of accents. He does not squeak, nor does he shout, but he emphasises, pauses and turns vocal corners with precision painting the perfect film in a reader's head with naught but his voice. Andrew Wincott may perhaps seem plain if one is not truly listening to his words, but he is utterly masterful. This is is the first of his books that I have read and it is no question that I will purchase every other one. Rutherford's narrative style - to entertain with fiction whilst to not only educate but enthrall with fact - is the most enriching and inspiring story telling experience I have ever had. I have never been a huge book reader not since I was a child, but this has ignited within me an insatiable hunger for literature specifically about history. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() this one should be brought up more if you’re uncomfy with people sharing your baby on the internet.
